The role of the Affiliation and Partnership Manager is to generate qualified traffic on his website, thanks to an affiliation platform that will increase his visibility via partner sites (affiliates). The affiliation manager can operate in two distinct structures with different objectives.

Either he works in a company, he is then the Web Partnership Manager and takes care of a multitude of tasks. This must first prospect potential affiliates and select the best partner sites to gain visibility on the web. After this selection has been made, the Affiliate Manager approaches the various affiliates with whom he wants to partner and negotiates the best partnership terms (mode of remuneration and type of advertisements).

 

He then follows up the campaign using reports that allow him to judge the relevance of his choices. To do this, the affiliate manager focuses his attention on the ROI indicator, which indicates the latest trends in the affiliate campaign (s) he is leading as well as the changes to be made to affiliate sites. Finally, all this work must be accompanied by daily competitive intelligence in order to be able to make adjustments in a very short period of time and to adapt to different competing sites. Or, he works within an affiliate platform, he then acts as an intermediary between an advertiser (affiliate) and a partner site (affiliate) and must provide advice on the type of campaign to be carried out and the optimization of the development of the affiliate network.
